Ultrasound Services
Alliance Medical Physics offers performance evaluations of ultrasound imaging equipment. This may include annual, semi-annual, or quarterly evaluations, depending on the needs of the facility, as well as, accreditation requirements.
Performance evaluations include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Caliper Accuracy Distance Measurements
- Axial and Lateral Resolution
- Depth of Penetration
- Anechoic Mass Resolution
- Near Field Resolution
- Image Uniformity
- Gray Scale Evaluation
- Mechanical Equipment Inspection:
- Examine transducers for cracks and separations, and cleanliness
- Check power cords for cracks or damages
- Verify the monitor and control console is kept clean and free of debris
- Ensure the air filters are clear of lint and dirt
- Wheel locks are in working order
- Examine transducers for cracks and separations, and cleanliness
Alliance Medical Physics will also perform an annual review of the facility’s onsite QC program. If a QC program is not available, we can assist in the establishment of one. We can also offer assistance with accreditation processes (ACR, AIUM, ICAVL, ICAEL).
